SpecTec started work in Oil & Gas in 1995, supplying AMOS M&P software for drilling and construction operations, offshore and onshore. In 1998, SpecTec was awarded a large contract with Saipem (ENI), one of the world's leading offshore companies. The scope of work included integrating every single field of AMOS with the equivalent field of Saipem/ENI’s SAP (ERP) software. Since then, more than 400 remote Saipem/ENI Assets are controlled by AMOS.

Building from the Saipem/ENI Oil & Gas experience, SpecTec has played a key role as prime contractor in many Oil & Gas installations around the world. Today a large number of rigs, offshore and onshore, have AMOS on board. AMOS is almost a standard with LNG carriers, FSOs and FPSOs, where they count customers such as BP Shipping, SBM, Bergesen, MODEC, Frontier Drilling, Premium Drilling, PetroBras, Technip and Vantage Drilling.
